For the end of Dec. in the northeast anytime you can get a 45-55 degree sunny day you make the most of them. We are supposed to get 3 of them in a row. My friend is comeing over to install the new ignition tumbler. I still have a bunch of minor repairs to do. I temporarily replaced the butchered metal fuel line between the fuel pump and carb wih a rubber one 2 months ago. Now I am going to make a proper steel one and also the steel vacume line for the distributer vacume advance. I also need to free up the heat riser in the exhaust manifold as it is frozen, that would account for one of the reasons for poor gas milage. I also need to install a new valve cover gasket. Boy I am glad this is an old AMC with a metal valve cover and not one of those crap plastic ones. Man I didn't realize this car needed so much work to bring it up to my standards as a dependable cruiser. And I know the car is going to need front brakes too soon. But it is a labor of love and money well spent, and besides I saved it from being cut up and made into a race car, there's nothing bad about that, but the guy who would have gotten it if I didn't has a history of starting race cars he never finishes that get thrown away and get crushed eventually. I couldn't let this happen to a clean survivor car. "Doc"
