Them kind of women are few and far between. Luckily I have one. One of the things about cruises and car shows now is family participation and the friends you make at them. Men can talk cars women can talk whatever and kids can make new friends and play together. In the 60's, 70's & early 80's I was looked down upon for driveing an AMC. Now usually being the only AMC at a cruise or non AMC show except if my son is there with his Javelin I am now acceped. Due to weather and health issiues I only made it to one local cruise this year, the last one. I took the new Hornet a week after I got it's plates on it. Unfortunately that's when I found my alternator problem, but it was a shake down cruise. As I pulled in the guys that run the cruise saw the car and realized that it had to be me even though they couldn't see who was driveing it and never saw the new Orange Hornet before. My Hornet got more attention than the 69 Chevelle SS 396 parked on one side and the Prowler parked on the other side. My wife pointed this out to me as we were siting in the restaurant haveing dinner as I had my back to the window and she could see right outside where the car was parked. It made me glad to have bought this car and saveing it from being cut up to be a race car with probably a brand "X" motor. If I didn't buy it a local towing guy I know was going to butcher this car. What a sad end that would have been for such a claen car to have lasted almost 30 years.
