Javelin strip show...down to the bare shell on my '70 parts car...

Well, my friend got a notice to have his property
cleaned up ( including the removal of dead vehicles,
of which 3 are mine ), so I went down today to finish
off the job of stripping down the '70 Javelin parts
car I have. It was actually a nice day, maybe 50
degrees, no wind, sunny, best of all NO BUGS in the
woods! I got most of the important and/or useable
stuff off it, only things left are rear windshield and
the front suspension, and I think I may let those
items go, as I already have a rear glass. I could
probably use the front suspension parts later or as
spares, but my time restraints and such limit my
chances to salvage those items. If my friend manages
to get a stay, then I may have more time to salvage
and retrieve those items.
The other two, a Dodge van with cracked frame, will
go bye-bye. The free Gremlin will get towed next
weekend to my parent's house for storage over the
winter. That should take care of my problems down
there. Not sure how the Javelin will come out, it's
way down in the woods, that's not for me to worry
about now, as my friend has 3 jeeps down there, too,
he's gonna let go probably. All junky 50's era jeeps,
mostly useful only for a few parts, or a die-hard
restorer.
That's about it for my AMC weekend, again no
progress made on my home Gremlins. But gotta do first
what has to be done. The Javelin is "done". The
Gremlin tow is next. Hopefully the weather in VA will
continue to be decent for a few more weeks, anyway.
I"ll hope!
Hope it was a good holiday weekend for everyone.
AMC ya,
