I can relate to the depression over an incomplete Gremlin. Mine has been ina state of construction longer than anyone's........and I have a garage! Ican relate to the long northern winters though. I was in southeast Michigan from 1984 til 1991.

Lately, I have been fabricating interior windshield and rear hatch trim. Since the top is chopped, none of the factory pieces fit. I have had to do a lot of cutting, fitting, welding and grinding. I learned a long time ago tomeasure twice and cut once. Last weekend I cut and welded the rear hatch glass trim. It came out looking pretty good.

I have been looking for someone in my area to sandblast my stainless trim pieces. The trim will be painted black so I want to have a good surface for the primer to stick to. I sprayed a little self etching primer on the rear wing and the upper windshield. It looked okay but I would rather rely on the rougher texture from the sand blasting. I just don't want the piece to behit with a 150psi blasting nozzle. Hopefully I'll find someone willing to turn the pressure down to prevent warping.

I have vacation scheduled for the first week of December. I am looking forward to spending time in the garage.
