Hi Mike, thanks for writing. There are literally dozens of wheels you can use on the Gremlin, a majority of which will interchange with Ford and Mopar bolt patterns too. As for 'chrome' wheels, not sure what type you are talking about, as AMC didn't offer chrome rims except in 1968 and those are Magnum 500s. In 69 they used Rally Rims which were painted but same pattern. There are some aluminum slot mags AMC started using in 1975 on a variety of their vehicles also, and used them until 1978. These were a option, and could be found on Pacer, Matador, Hornet and Concord also. Expect to pay about $300 for a real nice set of those rims with centercaps. And shipping is about $30 a rim, so keep that in mind. My suggestion would be to go to my website and click on the "links" on the front page and see if there are any AMC chapters near you. Contact them to see if they have any upcoming meets for instance in October the big AMC SouthEast Regional will be in Atlanta so you would contact Peach State AMO listed there for more info. If no clubs near you, click on "vendors" on my site and contact any AMC vendors that may be near you, to see if they have anything laying around you would want, and this could save you a boat on shipping. I have forwarded your request to a slew of Gremlin owners here on the Yahoo BaadAssGremlin list, and who knows some of them too might have some rims for you. I have I believe a set of star pattern 77 rims, commonly called 'flower pedal' AMC rims, they have the centercap volcanos, but no trim rings but would make a excellent addition to a Gremlin, here is what they look like except they are still in the original silver/black paint: http://www.ep.com/pic3/389664/1025053999424.jpg These were painted black and are on my 71 Matador shown. If interested $150 for the set + ship. Good luck in your search and if I can be of any help let me know, you fellow Gremlin folks also speak up and see if we can help this fella find some nice rims for his sled!
