Nope, no updates on the 74 Gremlin, I put it on
hold, it was fixing to go into the paint shop, then lost my job August 1st,so
have been concentrating on raising the little aMCers, Noah, who just turned2,
and Jacob who is now 6 months, and selling stuff on ebay, and working on the
website. I have some leads on jobs lined up, but put the Gremmie on the side of
the house for a moment.
The other two Gremlins are still for sale,I sold
the chrome roof spoiler off the 74 X for $100 however. Interesting is that
the green 76 I had sold to a fellow in western Mass, for 4500. He sent me $200
deposit, and then went racing that weekend, I didn't hear from him for two weeks
and emailed him, and his brother said he got in a wreck stock car racing
and broke his neck, and for me to keep the deposit. I had that car all ready and
shiny sitting in the driveway ready to be picked up by transport too. So itis
still for sale. The other one, the 74 X, I had some guy call me from Dalls who
"just had to have it" as he had two others, one he had driven out to San Diego
to pick up for $500. So he said he would be down the next day, I adjusted my
schedule to meet him and show him the car, he brought his wife and then went on
about
the car was not complete' as it was missing the AC
condensor, compressor and powere steering pump' of which I told him that hecan
get any of those things at pick a part for $5-$12 each. I also told him I sell
the hoods for $150 fenders for $250 each and windshield for $150; so coupled
with just the front clip it was worth more to part it out than sell it whole but
I wanted then, and now to sell both to someone who can fix them up for another
day. Well, no biggie, he left to drive back to Cowgirlland empty handed, but
thought that was strange had two 'almost sales' in a week. So both are still for
sale, anyone interested email me directly for photos. Thanks, Eddie Stakes'
