If you are looking for hardware such as suspension,
try Kanter's listed on my Planet Houston AMX Vendors List at www.planethoustonamx.com If looking
for hardware such as interior, there are a number of places like M. G's of Fort
Worth which has tons of screws, clips, plastics and other detail items for
inside and outside a vehicle. There are no 'Gremlin Spcific' vendors out there
just as there are no 'Hornet Specific, Spirit Specific' 'Ambassador Specific'
and so on.
Your best bet is something I always tell people to
do: make yourself up a shopping list of items you may need, in order of
priority, then start calling, emailing and contacting many of the vendors on my
list. I would also suggest to contact any AMC chapters that might be near you
listed in my "links section" as many times these folks either have some of the
stuff, or can point you in the right direction locally or regionally. And this
comes in handy for large ticket items you mightneed such as sheetmetal. It also
is really great to know who they trust in their area, and who to stay away from!
Who do they recommend for their paint, body, carpet, seats, engine rebuild,
rechroming, trans, alignments and so on. Not a whole lot of people in shopsno a
days know how to (nor want to) work on American Motors vehicles. So gettingto
know those in your area who share same interest is paramount! Good luck with
your project.
