I would be afraid to go bumper less for fear of damage to un-replaceable body sheet metal, especially on a daily driver. I have had my yellow Hornet for almost 31 years and have become accustomed to the large bumpers, not saying I like them just am accustomed to them. The front will look better tucked into the body however much I can tuck it in. Also it will become less obvious when I add the 77 AMX fender flairs and front spoiler. Figuring how to tuck the rear bumper will be a challenge since the mounting brackets are different. "Doc" ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Yahoo! Autos. i think that tucking the bumbers is a great idea when i first got my
gremmy i noticed that the bumbers are basicly gaint chrome plates
and would act like a snow blow if the car was lowered enough. which
is why i completley shaverd them off. not only does it look better
it also makes the car lighter.one of my first ideas was to take the
front and rear bumpers off of a latemodel corvair which only need to
be narrowed about 1-2 inches to fit right.
