I think it's a better choice to drop the 401 into the '81 Spirit. I've got the great black interior from the 79 Spirit, a pair of MINT '81 black door panels, and the 401/727 from the AMX. The '81 already has front & rear anti-sway bars, tight-ratio steering, tilt, cruise, AC. I've got the rear spoiler for it, Turbocast II wheels on it, and the 77 Gremlin's nose to use with my 78 AMX grillework...all I need now is the time to turn the wrenches. The blue Hornet is just TOO much to add to my plate. Besides, the wife wants a Javelin for herself, so best to pass this new hatchback on to someone else looking to go racing. Now, wait'll you see the copper Hornet wearing those Poly-Glas tires. Today it received an NOS hood ornament, and will shortly receive NOS side-markers, window cranks and rear 'X' emblem.
