I've a sinking feeling it's spot welded on as I can figure out how it's removed. Now, having said that, part of it is caked with grease from years of antifreeze/freon and road dirt so maybe I'm missing the obvious. It's got a nice dent in it on the drivers side. Anyone have any insight into how to get that piece off? Thanks. These drill bits are barrel shapes - hollow inside - with a cutter edge. The drill around the spot weld - a hole saw for spot welds. When you go to reassemble - use a spot welder or wire feed and just fill in the holes. Forget prying it apart and that Dremel thing - and trying to drill the weld out with a regular drill bit - as the weld is hardened. Brien.
