Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Re: MODEL CARS

The Gremlin model I bought off of eBay is in real sad shape. It is to
far gone for a resto job which is why I am using it to make an AMX 11. I
did however get a good front bumper with it that I can use on a Gremlin
I bought from Bart a few years ago as his was missing the bumper. Sorry
it is not for sale. Even in such sad shape I still paid 35$ including
shipping. I specifically bought this Gremlin model to make the AMX 11. I
got an old build 69 AMX from Bart also a few years back and am going to
use that car for the nose. In 2003 I mainly focused on building and
buying AMC models. I built or restored 15 AMC models and bought around
50 more new or builts. I think I must have spent in the area of
1,800$-2,000$ on all of them. The most I have ever paid for an AMC model
is 127$ for a 69 Rebel street car fair built. This model was a one year
thing from Johan and was also used as the basis for the Grant Rebel SST
F/C. It will never be re-issued because Johan modified the molds to make
the 70 Rebel Machine. I restored this one and bought another one to
build as the Grant F/C with extra F/C car parts I have. The Grant F/C
kit goes for 250$-350$ if you can find it. Mine will cost me 150$. And
who said Model building wasent an expensive hobby.

Would you ever consider selling it? I sure would be interested in
it. It sounds like you got a cool collection. I don't think I have
that many built ups, but I do have way to many unbuilts. Not too
many AMC stuff. I'm working on that.
