Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Ivan the Terrible

Glad to hear you are OK Lu. There is another one coming but they can't
seem to figure which way it is going to go. There can't be much left
undamaged to some extent or another in Florida. The remnants of Ivan
came through early this morning but most of it is to the south of us and
out to sea. Once the weather clears up they say we will have 5 days of
clear nice weather. I hope the weather is nice as I have a barbecue to
go to next sat. afternoon and the Ardsley AMC show to go to sunday.
Again I am glad everything is ok by you.
"Doc"

--- Begin Message --- Well Bart may have battled Frances, but I had to take on Ivan. Lots
of tree damage and debris to clean up. Some folks still without power
or phone (or cable if that really matters at a time like this). It
was still a category 1 when it hit us. Thanks for the dry Texas
winds, Eddie - that helped kill Ivan for us. Sending what's left of
him your way, Doc. Our Veterans from Bay Minette (Mobile bay area)
old soldier's home (or whatever the PC word is for it now) are still
here along with their dependents and pets. We are feeding and
sheltering them all until they are allowed to return home, hopefully
only a few more days. The hood of the Gremlin ended up on the side of
the house (guess I should have tied it down), otherwise it is still
standing. I parked the other vehicles in the street and am glad I did
as the driveway is plastered with limbs, pine cones, and debris.
Guess I better get my chainsaw & rake out. -Lu-
