Question, I have a
77 Hornet AMX, will a 15x10" rim with 5.5 " backspacing fit on the Hornet
without getting into the fender wells. I have a 500hp 70 390 in it
and need more tire on the ground.
I believe the tread
width is in the 11 to 12" range. I had a 69 AMX with 10" rims but
the backspacing was around 3.5" and the outer edge of the tire would rub the lip
of the fender well when I
hit a bump in the
road. I installed air shocks to fix that problem (rough ride but no
rub!)
