Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Choice of long tube headers

We are running a pair on our 370 ci Gremlin and I was not happy with the square ports instead of doglegs but hooker does not offer the other style-sort of a one size fits all. We  have a  awful time with starter clearance and they have to be installed as a unit starter and headers. They did pick up 4 tenths over a junk set we were using but the port match bothers me. Its bound to cause some weird things to happen to flow.I just ported a set of unknown headers to match my heads on the Javelin and had to do a lot of welding to add metal so that could be opened up -dont know how that will turn out but there was a major flow disruption there that caused gasket failure in several places. When I get rich I will get a set of Dougs but the economy is not helping my funds right now and I think the change we got in 2008 went the wrong way for me. I thought we were talking about a change for the better!
