If you have a Space Saver, DON'T EVER inflate it. They were al queda car
bombs back in 1960s and a fed warning came out about 'overinflating' them
although I do not think that was the problem. The inflator " bottle" sticker you
can buy off ebay, usually under $6, good reproduction.... as for the original
kidney bean shaped decal those can be found also on ebayt for few dollars, they
interchange with other marques since many of these compact spares sold to
different automakers.
The inflator bottles themselves interchange with Datsun, used to pull them
out of pick a part yards in Houston all the time, take off Datsun decal, and
sell to AMCers for $20 a bottle, but same bottle and someone has told me that
Mopar is same but have never compared side by side. Did do that with datsun and
wrote article about it in 1980s to let people know to pick them up when they
find them though!
You can't un-inflate a space saver it will look like a bad boob job gone
arwy.....
