Re: [BaadAssGremlins] Brad's Hornet's Outing

Good to see you finally made here Luke. Since I've seen and driven your car before the redo on the paint, post some pics of her as she is now.
Doc, you're in for a treat on this one!! It makes mine look like a junkyard special.

Hi there. I took my Hornet on its second trip last
weekend. The first trip I went through two quarts of
transmission fluid in about 100 miles. I since have
had the tranny front seal replaced and the technician
discovered the torque converter was cracked. After
finding a new one and having it installed I went to a
Maine AMC club meeting about 75 miles away. The name
of the club is AMCMainiacs. My car went good except
some pinging passing slower cars up passing zones. (
any suggestions??) I advanced the timing and seemed to
fix it but I haven't gone on any long distance trips.
My Sportabout averaged around 20 mpg with the 258 one
barrel and torqueflite. Like Brad I lost track at how
many people turned their heads to see my firecraker
red wagon. Plus afew just saw taillights when I left
them at some red lights  :0 ;)
