Re: [BaadAssGremlins] cars (not amc related)

No problem Charles. I too may have been to hard on you. As others have
said 5K is an unrealistic price to be getting for anything less than a
perfect mint car. Fix it and you will get decent gas mileage. I do with
my two Hornets. As others have stated maybe the first thing you should
do is get a complete tune up and go from there. These cars are simple to
work on not like the new ones that you need to be an electrical engineer
with 10,000$ worth of test equipment.

Lighten up Charles. I think you were a little hard on Doc. I know where Doc is
coming from. I drive a ricer every day to work and have an American ricer. A
Ford Focus sitting next to it and I agree while it was make in America it
basically is a foreign car. Actually I like the Focus enough if I get my
mothers house sold and I have any money left after I build a garage to park
the Gremlin in I am planning on buying me a new one. 33 pmg, lot of pep,
decent ride. Just what I need when I am putting 20,000 miles per year on a
car. While I would love to have one of Doc's Hornet there is no way I would
put that kind of miles on a 30+ year old car especially having to park it in
the gravel pit that they call a parking lot at work. When I retire I would
love to have one just like Doc. That is why I have been interested in the
Eagle Wagon. I would love to have one when I retire in 10 years. I do think he
gave you good advice have it fixed and like him while you have good intentions
driving it at the farm it would probably sit and rot. Been there done that.
Terry
