I can't immagine it is any more money then what you have. You have basically the same chassis. I am sure the SBC is cheaper, but anyway you slice it is never cheap to get into the 8's

 I am on a serious budget. I have a whole 500 into my 360  pushin 400 HP

I too have a black 72 grem. Mine is a slow street car though. I am in
the process of redoing the body at the moment. I have it mostly
stripped down to bare metal right now. Unfortunatly a previous
accident was revield while sanding the left rear quarter so I am on
the hunt for one now.
