The guy and his son are not real techies, so modifying the intake would be a 
serious challenge for them.  I think you're right, between that and the 
shipping it's probably best for them to find one close to home. If a 
"correct" one shows up here on the list, they may be willing to spring for 
shipping if it isn't totally outrageous.  I tried to talk them into just 
getting an aluminum aftermarket version of the manifold, but the dad's 
really hung up on the originality aspect.

My son has one from his 78 Matador that he said he'd sell for $25, plus
shipping.  I'm not sure how much different this would be compared to one
from a 69.  At the least I think you have to slot the bolt holes.

We're in Kansas.  I'm expecting shipping to be a killer.  Where's he
located?  It might be a lot better to find one locally.
