At my last house ~10ish yrs ago there was this young kid/guy age 20 or so I used to talk to sometimes.  He needed a ride one day and I had just finished an under the hood session my '65 American, so I told him to hop in.  That was a 3 on the tree car and it totally baffled him.  He was like "you just move that lever up and down and it goes?" LOL
