I've heard a T-10 4-spdr fits, but if it did, you'd Still need a diff. And if you had a gear vendors overdrive @ 50%, even a 444 would work (take you down to 222 for interstate cruising), and be a "hoot" in town, from light to light. Once had a '72 Jav with a 304, 3-spd, and a 391. I surprised many 350 Camaros. A 333 sat behind many 6 cylinder AMCs. IF you can't find a 20, aren't there some of other makes that'd fit? The IHC Scout was "jeep-sized", probably has a rear end close to a 354. Do you have the skill to re-build one(a 20), that a racer might not be using because he "broke-it"? Or because if he Was racing, and he would, eventually, break the 20, he may have one lying around, un-broken, that he switched-out at the get-go for something better. AMC had some 4cylinders,--one that was a special one year only Audi engine built for AMC (Porsche 924 had the cammer head, --AMC the OHV, less Hp), and I hear the "Iron Duke
(GM)" was used breifly, also,--all, I think, behind 20s, but the 20 was a Choice, maybe, --not a necessity, so maybe Many diffs would fit, with very few, if any, mods. If you had the Audi-AMC engine, the Porsche transaxle might fit, distributing the weight better. Unless you HAD to be stock, if a Ford 9" fits, get that--it's good for 600Hp and 2-ton car weights, so it should last forever behind less. If I had a 100-pt car, I wouldn't care about running gear underneath, so it probably wouldn't Stay...a 100-pt car. Mustang had an overdrive for it, that would bolt to the Back of the 9", putting another 100-200lbs on the rear, but you'd have to change-out the stock gas tank. In sum, I think MANY rear ends would fit, with no more cutting/welding than an exhaust system install, --check-out a Hollander's at a mechanics school/college. I hope this helps.

" Hi guys I need a AMC 20 with a 3:15, 3:33, or 3:54 limited slip for a
" AMC concorde AMX. Hopefully some where close to Il. If you have one
" for sale let me know, please.
don't forget jeeps used amc20s for 10 years, and iirc 3.31s and 3.54s
are fairly common. and because of this, aftermarket l/s and gears are
plentiful.
