A thought on the flames coming through the throttle body:
 Unless you are checking for fuel in the throttle body with a lighter, the only way that is going to happen is if your timing is way off (distributor or jumped timing.) or a mechanical issue that will not allow correct sequencing (check rocker arms, bent pushrods, broken spring, or burnt valve).
