Just looked at mine. The 74 and 83 both have the same depth pulleys, at least on the J-10s. Both are about 2.25" (give or take 0.25" -- I didn't measure, but it's obviously more than 1"). So the FSJs may not use the shorter water pump and pulley as I've heard -- and not just form you Andrew. That info is clearly wrong, both mine are unaltered and can be traced back to the original owners (a local farm for the 74, the 83 was originally a DE state vehicle). It's reasonable to conclude that they are stock. Looks like the CJ pump and pulley are the ones to use.
