late '80s wrangler balancer should be the same.  just as hard to find?

the 4.0 serp setup sits closer to the block than the 258/4.2.  you'd
have to put a spacer behind the balancer; i don't know if the seal
would like that.

just a wild guess that the spacer would have to be 3/8" or 10mm or
thereabouts, to line the 4.0 balancer up with the 258 belt.
