IIRC, the 343 block wasn't strong enough for the extra force after the needed clearancing was done to allow the longer throws? I know the guys who did the 401 into 360 blocks needed to sonic check them before machining for both core shift and web strength to do 4 bolt main upgrades.

Surely theres a tech how to on what's involved in building a 343 stroker using a 401 crank. Does anyone have any links?
