[AMC-list] 195.6ohv, ARP studs and head torque

i know, the aluminum block has lots of bad rep for head gasket issues. I WILL MAKE IT WORK!! just because its something totally different, and a challenge. with the arp studs, and other cooling issues, shouldnt be to bad when they are worked out. the al head doesnt have the pocket for the t-stat like the ci block. the t-stat housing also has a plugged port on it that i can put the line in for the cooling bypass as tom did if i NEED to. im thinking a t-stat with a 3/16 hole or so in it should be just fine. the only thing that will mess things up, is if the head/block arent PERFECT and allow the twin sleeves to move, messing up head gaskets. if they are machined perfect, i think it will all work just fine. i have most of everything. just need .010 rod bearings. and a few small items. (water pump, and new fuel pump just so its all new) the biggest issue with putting it in the little 63 440H is getting the oil pump to clear the a-arm hump. i will put a
filter relocation kit on if needed, no big deal. i think the oil pump will just BARELY clear tho. once its in, i think it will sit low enough to have no clearance issues. i MAY have to pull the pump off while installing if that becomes an issue. shouldnt be as i think there is enough room between motor/steering column to drop it down, slide it over and be fine.
