Lever shouldn't be hard (twin stick comes to mind) 727 was also used with AMC 258 in IH pickups. Possibly Nissan SD33 diesel too.

I would expect that to be from behind a 401 from an International Harvester truck. Jeep never used that combination or a 727 that used a bull gear. The concern would be lever placement on the tunnel in the cab.
