Had some fun cleaning and rebuilding the carb. Took it all apart,
cleaned it up with a liquid TSP cleaning compound from Lowes. Thinned
out the TSP a good bit. It took care of the varnish with no problems.
Carb cleaned up nice with a little time, a little cleaner and a
plastic scrub brush. Replaced some parts with what came in the kit.
Replaced the jet and other fiddly bits. Cleaned and lubed all moving
parts. Put it back together and am raring to install and go!!!!

Ordered a replacement float that hasn't come in yet. I know I should
wait for the float and replace it, but am getting impatient, lol.
Anyway, the carb looks great, cleaned up well, and was fun to rebuild.
Am catching up on house scrubbing, but would much rather be working on
the Rambler or going for a ride on the Silver Comet. (dang being a
grown-up anyway. You'd think once you hit 50 or so, you either give up
on being a grown-up, or are practiced enough at it you can put it off
until you hit your 60's).
