[AMC-list] sheesh! f'!@!@!@ing alternators!

The Motorola alternator in the 72 Hornet popped. Replacement on it's way.
Josh drove my Classic wagon to work, no big deal. It appears that running
them without a battery connection kills them, or it's just a coincidence
(right).

I roll the American out the driveway, close the gate, turn the key... not
even the GEN light on. Battery is dead dead dead! WTF!

I have a semi-junk battery I leave on the charger all the time, for testing
starters, etc. Toss that in -- ugh-oh, small spark when I drop the cables
on. There's something drawing current with the car off.

Turns out -- it's my new Mitsubishi alternator! It is drawing 1/4 amp from
the SENSE line! Sheesh!
