Duh! Yes, you're right Ken!! No studs, bolts holding the bridged rocker pivots on, just like the sixes. I was thinking about the earlier V-8s, some had press in studs some screw-in. Don't recall what years. I don't have near as much experience with the V-8s as the sixes. Basically stock rebuilds with some mild cam/intake/carb upgrades.

Weren't these the one-piece-for-two-valve aluminum bridges - bolted to the head, no studs? Around 1980 they realized the mistake of using softer aluminum and changed to a 3-piece steel setup.
