[AMC-list] Fw: Tachometer wiring question

Greg below is having a little trouble with hsi tachometer on his 72 Javelin and also has a Accel coil, if anyone can help him configure this out porperly please feel free to comment and thanks in advance to all who might reply, be sure to also copy your reply to Greg who would appreciate it.

I have a 1972 Javelin SST 304 V8. I'm trying to add the factory tachometer and clock. It has a brown wire and a yellow wire. I put the yellow wire to the negative side of the coil and the brown wire to a power source. As soon as I hook it up the tach needle maxes out. I'm using an Accel super coil and have eliminated the points with a conversion kit in the distributor. I'm still using the starter solenoid setup.
