The problem with is the intake gasket on some GM V6 families.  The 3.8 engine is supposedly a consistent problem.  50,000 miles, you can bet it's gonna leak.  That's what my Mom's mechanic (reputable shop) has said and was true for 95 Olds Cutlass that I resurrected from the curb in my neighborhood and sold a couple of years ago.  It was a fun project and I learned a lot, I think.   Love that fuel injection.
