Mix it good. Make sure it is not red. The local Advance would not let me dump red atf in their used oil. I tried to explain it was a type of oil and got nowhere. 
   I just kept pouring in used oil till it wasn't red and took it back then. No problem.

Mix it with the oil.  I worked for the largest oil recycling west of the Mississippi a few years ago   It's used oil.

Okay, dumb question. But - when you change your automatic transmission
fluid, where do you recycle it? Do you mix it with the oil at an
Autozone, Napa. O'Reilly's - or does that stay separate?
