it sounds like maybe a grounding issue? check all your grounds, and maybe use
a "jumper" wire to check grounds. get a spot cleaned off to bare SHINY metal,
and hold a piece of wire there, and touch it to the ground side of the bulb
base, or the housing. im not sure about the dash lights. i dont know the
wiring of (can you believe im saying this) "later" model amc's. i know the
old ramblers fairly well. i had this issue on a 65. was just dirty ground
connections.
