First, I think the TCP global site (if that is www.autocolorlibrary.com) is a good one because they have the paint chips and can presumably formulate the paint colors for many if not most of our old AMC paints.  I recently bought a quart of Frost White from them, which AMC used for many years but amazingly, the local PPG jobber did not have the formula.

Regarding their acrylic enamel paint, because you are using a hardener, I think it might actually be acrylic urethane and not the old air dry enamel.  AMC used acrylic enamel for many years but they "pushed" the drying process by oven drying the bodies at the body plant.  Maybe that made the paint harder.  I don't know.  Can you clear coat it?  Probably.  Others here will probably know more.  One thing though, if that calais coral paint is actually a metallic paint, you can't color sand it.  So if you clear coat it, you'll be applying the clear coat over a smooth surface, which might degrade the adherence of the clear coat.  As I said, others may know more about this.
