Oops! Back to the questions at hand:
AMC 2.5L Renix TBI is 4 bolt base.
2.5 carb is a 2 bolt base (I think it's Rochester, but it looks a lot like the Carter and Motorcraft used on Ford 6 cyls like my old '82 Mercury Capri with 200 6 cyl.)

I took a couple pics of them, but by LED lighting and a cellphone camera, they aren't so good. 

PS: Anyone interested in the 1 bbl 2.5L carb (off an '84 or '85 Jeep XJ) may be interested to know it's for sale for $25 including the intake and all the 80,000 miles worth of grease and oil it came with and a pile of the emission pieces too.
   It ran good and now the motor has Renix TBI bolted to it. (only took a manifold swap to work) BTW, I have the exhaust manifold too. Found out the hard way TBI and carb exhaust manifolds don't swap due to the EGR pipe location
