Mine is a Classic 770. The manifold is hitting the top of the starter. (I think it's the solenoid)

Where is it hitting? I've got an 81 or 82 setup on a '70 232, in a 63
classic. Is your 64 an American? Is it the pipe or the manifold clearance?
