revs high as in the engine rpms climb but speed does not increase? sounds like
a clutch that is slipping. you can check the clutch adjustment from under the
car. there is a rod that pushes on the clutch fork going into the
bellehousing. you can adjust that rod. shorten that rod up, and see if it
still does it. if it does, then it will probably need a new clutch. and
flywheel resurfaced also. if it has been doing it for long, it will have
glaze on all surfaces, and may have heated up the flywheel and warped it.
