Dunno what your reason is for this, but if you move that I-6 back at all, you'll never be able to install/remove the valve cover. It's a close fit anyway. 

And, good luck finding a six-cylinder crossmember for an Ambassador. You'll have to find a fleet el-strippo car to find that.
