I would suspect that is why they are for sale.
People try to buy back their past instead of enjoying the car in the present so they sell it.
Or the current economy, wife, S.O., etc, etc,

Wish I could enjoy mine...Got a few more weeks of "stuff" in the way. Then the fall slow period hits and I am hoping to get the interior back together on the American and put some miles on it.

I have both 1/4's coated, overdone actually, with Raamat. The better less scratched up 1/4 glass and new window sweeps are in. Got true squeegee style sweeps in this time! Nice stuff from Peter Stathes.  I have scrubbed and wiped down the rear seat area and have the dual 10" sub box sitting back in place. I have to make a pair of metal pieces, easy stuff. Then I will install EPDM weather seal to seal the face of the sub box to the rear seat opening to block trunk noise from entering the car.
   After the bos is sealed, I can instal mat under the seat and put in my "new" rear seatbelts.

Then I have to stop and restore the heater box with new seals and core.
Install the console and carpet,seats, etc, etc,

I HOPE I get it back together quickly anyway.
Surely it will go quick.....

Looking at this list, I may sneak my spare heater box in to work and restore it so I can do a quick swap :)

hey jim, why is it that we see some of these nice looking cars for sale on cl,
but we never see them around town at any shows or cruis ins??
