Richard, I am guessing here but it's probably fairly accurate. The 79 304 with a SR-4 four speed had a nine inch clutch and plate. The input shaft on the transmission is 1-1/8 inch diameter with 10 splines. If you check your transmission's input shaft diameter and spline count and find them the same, I believe you have found a cross over part for your car. If you decide to go to a larger clutch and pressure plate, make sure the flywheel is already drilled and tapped for that larger plate, otherwise it's not worth it. I think AMC had a 1-1/8 inch 10 spline input shaft in the T-5 transmissions too. I hope some one corrects me if I'm wrong on this. Armand Hey Group, Trying to find a clutch kit for the 82 Concord wagon, 5-speed. Nothing is available even for pressure plate. It's gotta be the same as something else? 5-speed in wagon, not too popular in 1982. When comparing the Eagle, that gets into the hydralic set up, right? What other should be the same, Jeep? It does have the 9" clutch plate. THANKS again for all your wisdom you are sharing. Blessings, Richard Richard Estermyer _______________________________________________ AMC-list mailing list AMC-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://list.amc-list.com/listinfo.cgi/amc-list-amc-list.com
