Re: [AMC-list] mileage

Hell, good gas mileage is not tied to modernicity, it has always been around and noticed by a lot of people.

I remember my dad not allowing me to buy a Mercury Cougar, "you won' be able to afford gas for that"...He put me in a 63 Classic 770, aluminum six, two door sedan, instead. yay, dad.

freeway going back and forth to boise. 200 mile round trip. keep it at 60, it
dont even notice the small hills really. keeps that motor at about 3000 rpm
tho. maybe puttin that o/d dont hurt that milage. i was amazed by it.
