This specifications book is available from the NASH Car Club of America club sales chairman Richard Matson. go to the NASH CAr club web site to get the information: www.nashcarclub.org, below is the list of what the book contains.



NASH SPECIFICATIONS BOOK


A revised version of the Nash Specifications Book is the result of many years of research and effort by Bob Aaron, our former Club Librarian and is now available. This book originally written by John Conde, has been updated to meet the needs of the members of the NCCA. Look for "Revised for the Nash Car Club of America" on the cover.

The information in this book includes the specification of all years, series, and models of cars recognized by the NCCA: the early Rambler, Jeffery, Ajax, LaFayette, Nash, Nash-Healey, Metropolitan and Hudson. The wheelbase, number of cylinders, bore and stroke, shipping weight, number of passengers, retail price, announcement dates, and the first serial number of each series are all included. Production figures are provided for each model when available.

All information has been obtained from Nash factory literature. This book is truly a wealth of information that all Nash owners should have.

Hi I have been trying to find drawings, pictures, of the front suspension 
lowering plates that some people are using. They relocate the spindle higher so 
you don't have to cut your springs I have been looking a lot and finding nothing 
noth
ing. I have joined every AMC group I can find, but faster than I join, I 
lose the dam passwords. If you have any pics please send me  them or a location 
where I can find them.

There are no production break-downs by option. There were 1554 Hollywood 
Hardtops and 5357 four-door sedans made. All Custom models got the 
continental spare. The figures in "The Standard Catalog of American 
Motors" doesn't break down four-door production between the standard and 
Custom series. The continental spare was an option on the standard 
though. "Twin-H" was optional on all.

You may not have any luck with the Hudson club. I'm not positive, but 
they may actually refer you to the Nash club. I think they stop at 1954, 
and some disdain the "Hash" cars of 55-57 (Hudsons built on Nash 
bodies). Those did continue using the Hudson six instead of Nash engines 
(except the 56-57 V-8, and 55-56 used Packard V-8s -- the AMC/Nash V-8 
was introduced in late 56 and only used in the Ambassador Special and 
Hornet Special, which was the lighter/shorter two door Statesman/Wasp 
body with Ambo/Hornet trim). The dash, grilles, suspension tune and trim 
were unique to the Hudson models, but the main body shell was obviously 
Nash, and they were so different from t
he last Hudsons that many Hudson 
aficionados refuse to recognize them. Handling of the old Hudsons is 
vastly superior, it would be almost like going from a sports car to a 
family sedan.

I've done a little background work on the cars.
All the cars will run. All have been driven at least 20 miles. Those cars that 
would not start when the transport came were taken to a mechanic to be repaired. 
All were stored in a warehouse with heat. It is a given that some work may be 
needed to put them on the road. These cars have been more or less museum pieces. 
All the cars will have titles at the time of the auction.

Joe; as I am always thinking the worst of situations, maybe the chromers had 
yours done, then a rush order came in for another bumper for more money and they 
gave them yours. You may have gotten someone else's!! Was there an unexplained 
delay in getting yours back.
I know that every now and then I get that reply that there is a delay and the 
part or item will be ready next week.....Russ

Be ready for a lot of static from the Hudson folks for owning a 'Hash". I love 
the Hudsons but really dislike the elitism of the clubbers when you point out 
that you have a transition period Hudson.
They are almost as bad as Camaro drivers condescending our Javelins....Russ
