Don't know...
Bought the 287 non running, but it was assumed it needs a chain, car showed 65K miles, 66 Amb convert.
The only 327 I have that does not need real work is a 37K miles motor that came out of a 68 Jeep plow truck from eastern pa.
I have no real proof either of the engines is actual mileage. I looked at the under valve covers etc of the 327 and it is spotless.
I don't plan to sell the 327 as long as I have a chance at working on the conv.

The 287 can go at any time. I bought it to install in the conv before I found the 327. 
I would need to verify that it is still "free" and has not rusted up while sitting. It should be find as it is indoors and I oiled it up, but you never know?

I've got a 287 I would let go dirt cheap.
$50 is what I paid for it.
I'd let it go for the same.
Transportation would be whole other can of worms.
