Bill, there is a complete list of the cars with photos on the website (http://www.tommackclassics.com/auction/index.htm). A fellow on the AMC Forum (http://theamcforum.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=8570) stated this (taken from two different posts): "I went and looked at these cars about 4 months ago in Bronxville N.Y as a friend of mine who is a collector wanted to purchase the lot. This guy who I never met was hit by a taxi cab in N.Y city as I was told. His 72 year old mother was trying to sell as a lot. ... The way I understood it is he is alive , he just doesn't have all his marbles anymore." So that's why the collection is being sold. It's a shame, I feel for the family. I don't know if the auction house or someone else bought the cars as a lot, or they are being sold for/by the family. I plan on being there, that is if I'm not called in for a retiree recall exercise. Every couple years the USAF Reserve brings about 150 retirees back to test their emergency recall procedures. Five day all expense paid trip to San Antonio! No, they aren't calling old foggies back in, it's just a drill!! This isn't related to calling back some people who got out and are still in the inactive reserve. Most don't realize that no matter what your active commitment, you sign in for EIGHT years when you joint the armed services. Standard is four years active and four years inactive reserve -- meaning you don't have to drill on weekends or anything, but are subject to being called up during that second four years. If you serve eight years or more active you're pretty much off the hook. ---------- Date: 10 Feb 2009 22:21:02 -0000 From: theamcguy@xxxxxxxxx Anyone have a complete list of the cars? -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
