Re: [Amc-list] Hornet lowering

Have some lowering plates constructed or make some yourself.
They mount between the spindle and knuckle.
3/8" steel flat plate will work.
Note, the plates will widen your front track 3/8" perside so if tire clearance is an issue they won't work.
The plates on mine lower the car 1 5/8".
They have been in place some 6-8 years with no issues.

Somewhere on one or both of the AMCforums there are specs to make plates like mine.

Subject: [Amc-list] Hornet lowering

I need some information on lowering my 1977 Hornet AMX. I want to lower my car but, do not want to mess up the front end alignment. The car has a 401 auto, 50 series tires 15x8 wheels. Any help on this would be appreciated.
