Glad to hear they found it! Sorry you're going to have to go through it all over again, but at least you'll have some insurance money to do it with and won't have to wait so long to gather the funds. Took me four years to get my old wagon just about the way I wanted it, then it got hit! Only had a couple little things to take care of too. only took a little more than a year to build another with funding readily available. 

They couldn't have stripped it much -- how many people can use an AMC engine and trans? Should be easy enough to trace. Make sure all the performance shops in the area know about it!

Good News - Bad News My 1969 AMX was recovered yesterday by Las 
Vegas, NV Metro Police.
It's been stripped and in not drivable. How bad it is ,well I going 
to go look at it and access the damaged and see where I stand. I just 
called the insurance company to let them know where the remains are. 
So , I'll be gone the rest of the day . LRDaum
