Re: [Amc-list] Leon's Auto Parts

On 12/25/2008 11:12 PM, Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx spouted this sage advice:
> They are expensive from what I have heard.
> No way to gauge getting what you need though!
>
> I know a local guy that called ahead on fenders for his American and got a quote .
> When he got there and got them they charged him $80 more than he had. I foget whether it was because he got more or they underquoted him when they found it was ftuff for his SC/rambler.
> Anyway in their defense, Leons allowed him to pay what cash he had and take the parts home. They said, "oh we understand leave us your contact info and send us a money order when get back". So he did.

If it was because they found out he had an SC/Rambler instead, then it
sounds like a pretty dishonest place to deal with. I would have been
extremely cheesed and let them keep their parts.
