No, its an iron intake.

Anybody know if that flexplate will work for *both* a TF-727 and the 9xx-series transmissions, or
would it be for just one or the other?

Is that an aluminum intake?  It's definitely one for a later model than 1970.  
I can see the port for the EGR valve, with a blockoff plate covering it.  
When did AMC add EGR valves?  1976?
