Re: [Amc-list] New exhaust!

Ah,
welcome to the world of reality.
You expect the joys of youth
You experience the now
Just have them take the pipe over the axle and out when funds allow.
Keep the muffler up forward if you move it rearward as in the 64-69's the noise will still be loud.

Been there, done that.
My american runs 2.5" pipe, too big allows the noise to flow along it's length, IMHO.
Then a Glass pack with about 2-2 1/4 core to a Dynomx 2 1/2" superturbo.
With out the glass pack up front it is too loud.
With two glasspacks it is too loud.
With just the superturbo at the rear it would be too loud. Perhaps it would work if the turbo was in front of the axle were yours is? I have no idea, I was poor then and built the exhaust myself, after the third redo I surrendered.
I'd love a few less decibels. It's OK now, sounds good, but one or two less decibels would be the sweet spot IMHOO. [In my honest OLD opinion :) ].

YMMV.
